WHITE TEA
White tea, a slight-fermented tea, is a special treasure among Chinese teas. It is named because the dry tea is mostly in buds, full of white hairs, like silver and snow. It is one of the six major tea types in China.
White tea has not greenkilled or twisted, but only processed after drying in the sun or fire, with the appearance of buds and hairs intact, full of hairs, hairs fragrance fresh, yellow green and clear in soup color.
White tea is divided into four types of products: Bai Hao Yin Zhen (silver needle), White peony, Shou Mei, and Gong Mei , depending on the variety of tea trees and raw material requirements.
Those made from single buds according to the white tea processing technology are called silver needle white tea.
The one bud and two leaves of white tea processed according to the processing technology is called white peony.
The one bud and two leaves of tea are used to make the white tea called Gongmei.
The white tea made from the fresh leaves after the white needles are drawn is called Shou Mei.
